This policy explains what data the International Forum for Education and Investment platform collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with. It describes what the platform actually does, not what it may do later.
1) What we collect
To create an account: your mobile number, full name, and the capacity you are taking part in (visitor, exhibitor, sponsor, media). The mobile number is how you sign in.
Optionally at registration: an email address, the name of your organisation, and your country. The organisation name is required for media accounts only, together with the type of outlet.
If you add companions: their names, mobile numbers, ages and school stage, which you provide on their behalf.
While you use the platform: your participation record — stand bookings and their status, workshop registrations, sponsorship applications, issued invoices, and your badge number.
If you write to us: your name, email address, mobile number, organisation, subject and message.
Technical data needed to operate the service: the IP address a verification code or a contact message was sent from, and the number of attempts at entering a code. This is used to limit abuse and protect accounts. It is not used for marketing.
What we do not collect: we do not ask for a password, we do not collect card details inside the platform, and we do not collect your location.
2) Why we use it
To create your account and verify your number at each sign-in.
To manage your participation: stand bookings, workshop registrations, sponsorship applications, and issuing your badge.
To issue invoices and keep a record of transactions.
To contact you about what you registered for, and to answer your messages.
To operate the platform and protect it from misuse.
3) The basis for processing
We process your data to deliver the participation you asked for, to meet statutory obligations relating to invoicing, and to protect the platform and its users.
4) Sharing
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising.
The forum's organising team sees your data to the extent its work requires: reviewing applications, managing bookings and approvals, and answering messages.
The platform and its database are hosted with a cloud infrastructure provider that processes data on our behalf and on our instruction.
Data may be disclosed to a competent authority where required by law or official order.
If additional operational services are enabled — a payment gateway, an email or SMS provider — this policy will be updated to name their role before they begin operating.
5) The demonstration environment
A demonstration copy of the platform may be run for presentation and testing. Its data is test data, its prices are not final, and it does not constitute registered participation in the forum.
6) Retention
We keep your account and participation data for as long as the platform operates for this edition of the forum, and afterwards for the period needed for organisational, invoicing and statutory purposes. Detailed disposal schedules for each category of data have not yet been set.
7) Protecting your data
Traffic to the platform is encrypted. Verification codes are not stored in readable form; they are stored hashed and expire. Administrative access is restricted by capability and tied to a known account.
8) Your rights
You may ask to see your data, to correct anything inaccurate, to update your account details, and to object to a particular processing or request deletion, within what regulatory and statutory obligations allow.
You can change your account details and notification preferences directly from your account page.
9) Changes
This policy may be updated as the platform's functions change. The date it was last updated is recorded on this page, and we keep a record of the version each user accepted at registration.
10) Contact
For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights above, use the Contact page on the platform.
